More About Yoga
Yoga is an ancient Indian system of inquiry for personal growth,
suitable for everybody, regardless of fitness, flexibility, age or physical limitations.
Hatha yoga is an umbrella term to cover the many styles of yoga that emphasise asana (physical postures), pranayama (conscious, controlled breathing), dharana (concentration) and dhyana (meditation).
Ha means Sun and Tha means Moon. Metaphorically, hatha yoga brings the warm, active energy of the sun and the cool, reflective “being’’ energy of the moon into balance to steady the mind.
Breath plays an integral part in balancing these energies.

We practise yoga whenever we are present and open-hearted, trusting in the process of life and in tune with all in the world around us. We experience the subtleties of flow and the tender balance between effort and surrender.
When do we need to row and when do we need to let go
of the oars and flow with the current?
We get the answers from within and that's where yoga can be our guide.
